Professional candidates must have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and must be qualified to take the CPA examination as administered by the Maryland State Board of Public Accountancy, or to be working toward such qualification.

Professional Staff Classifications and Responsibilities are as follows:

Staff Accountants - Usually less than 2 years of experience and working toward passing the CPA exam. Assist in large engagements and during the second year, responsible for substantial completion of small engagements.

Senior Accountants and Supervisors - Usually 2 to 5 years of experience in public accounting. Responsible for carrying out all field work on engagements.

Managers - Usually a minimum of 5 years of experience and ready to assume high level administrative responsibilities. Able to apply professional standards and firm policies, coordinate several engagements simultaneously, and review engagements.
